Skyscraper Lamp

Brooklyn natives, Nicholas Furrow and Hyperakt Design Group recently collaborated to create the Skyscraper Lamp, an obvious result of what can happen when two creative professionals from different disciplines work together. Nicholas, a seasoned product designer who has lived in Milan and exhibited work in such shops as Dove Tu Sai, brought his skills in industrial design to the table while Deroy Peraza of Hyperakt brought his graphic knowledgeability. Peraza took random deconstructions of Le Corbusier’s Unite d’Habitation in Marseilles, France, and created the graphic that would eventually be appropriated onto three frosted white acrylic panels.

Dimensions: 66”h 13”w 13”d. The Skyscraper Lamp can be displayed alone or in clusters. It is presently showing at the apt. in SoHo, NYC and at Hyperakt's own Hypermarket in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.

Nicholas Furrow has designed various lighting pieces and exhibited at such fairs as Brooklyn Designs and Commissaires Design Gallery in Montreal.

Hyperakt is an award winning design studio based in Brooklyn, which creates distinct branding, print and web initiatives for clients in the arts, education, real estate and tourism industries.
